Argentine Women Protesters in Buenos Aires, Argentina brought everything to standstill with their massive agitation against the brutal rape & killing of a school teen girl.
Lucia Perez, 16, was abducted outside her school earlier this month on October 8. She was allegedly drugged with cocaine and cannabis, raped & killed by notorious drug dealers. As reported by CNN, she was sodomized with an “unspecified object” so violently that she bled out from her internal injuries.
Moments after the incident, the abductors dumped her at a drug rehab clinic. The clinic performed a detailed examination on her dead body. As per reports, the Argentine Women Lucia was subjected to brutal violence and gang rape. Clinic immediately reported the incident to the police who later traced the abductors van where they found drugs, used condoms, sex toys and gun ammunition. Police have arrested the suspects. The third abductor is still fugitive.
When the news went out in public, a massive public protests took place on the streets across Buenos Aires with slogans #NiUnaMenos which means “not one less”. This brutal incident has brought attention to violence against women in Latin America. Slowly the protests spread across 80 cities in Argentina and 58 others worldwide.
Argentina introduced a law against femicide in 2012 and there are very harsh punishments for the men.
